How Casinos Rate their Players

casino_largeCasinos watch the activity of the players and they do this as a way to allocate them a comp level.  Comps are offered depending on how much you bet and how long you stay to play. Comps come in many form, from bonuses, complimentary credits and freebies and are given in hopes that you will return to that casino.

Supervisors and managers keep track of those at the playing area. They writes down how much you buy-in for, what your highest bet is, how fast you play, how long you stay and what you winnings and losses are. But these are not the only factors they use in their rating system.

When you leave a table, your information is given to the data room where it is saved on a computer. As you purchase a meal or get a snack at the bar, it is the decision of the manager or pit boss to say whether or not a comp is justified. You might qualify for a free hotel room, free meal and if you are considered a high roller, then they might comp your airfare.
